Antalya's Cliffside Perch
Yalım Park sits on the edge of Antalya's limestone cliffs, 30 metres above the sea, facing directly across the bay toward the Konyaaltı coastline and the Taurus Mountains beyond. There is a particular kind of view here — the one where the sea fills the entire horizon and the mountains rise behind the city — that resists description. It is better simply experienced.
The park takes its name from a restaurant that once stood within its boundaries, later renamed Edalya. Its official designation is Falez 2 Parkı, but nobody in Antalya has ever called it that.
Where Everyone in Antalya Comes
Yalım Park belongs to everyone. Early morning brings runners and walkers; afternoons fill with families and children; evenings draw those who come simply to sit, drink tea, and watch the light change on the water. With well over 60,000 visitor reviews on Foursquare alone, it is one of the most consistently loved public spaces in the city. One reviewer put it plainly: "Calling this a park is an understatement. This is a way of life."
The park has children's play areas, seating groups scattered across the grass, walking paths along the cliff edge, and a tea garden. On summer evenings, finding a bench with a view requires arriving early.
