Where the River Meets the Sea
Many first-time visitors to Antalya encounter the same question: "Which Düden Waterfall?" The answer seems straightforward but isn't. Antalya actually has two: Upper Düden in Kepez, and Lower Düden near Lara in Muratpaşa. Düden Park is built around the latter — the point where the Düden River plunges 40 meters off a cliff and directly into the Mediterranean.
This natural spectacle is all the more striking for being within the city itself. The river moves along until it suddenly reaches the cliff's edge and drops straight down into the blue. At certain hours of the day, a rainbow forms in the mist of the falls.
More Than a View
Düden Park is not merely a sightseeing stop. Walking paths, picnic areas, children's playgrounds, and viewing terraces built around the waterfall keep the park active throughout the day. A range of cafes and kiosks serve visitors on site. There is also a zipline for those looking for something extra.
Note: Düden Park in Lara and the Upper Düden Waterfall in Kepez are entirely separate locations. A visit to Upper Düden requires separate planning, and there is an entrance fee.
