A Park Born from an Aquapark

Erdal İnönü Kent Park, which you encounter along Lara Avenue, is one of those rare places that has earned its place despite a short history. This was once the site of the Dedeman Aquapark, one of Antalya's biggest entertainment venues in its time. Demolished in 2012, the 25-decare plot sat idle for years before Muratpaşa Municipality reclaimed it for the public, naming it after scientist and politician Prof. Dr. Erdal İnönü.

At the entrance, visitors are greeted by a bust of İnönü set at the center of an atomic nucleus sculpture — not a coincidence. İnönü is remembered not only for his political roles but also for his contributions to nuclear physics, a legacy the park quietly honors.

A Living Space on the Cliffs

Situated right at the clifftop and overlooking the sea, the park serves as a natural gateway to the surrounding 5 km clifftop corridor. The 25-decare grounds include walking paths, seating areas, and landscaped gardens, alongside Antalya Lokantası (a restaurant run by Muratpaşa Municipality serving the city's locally certified dishes), cafes, a bistro, and a Women's Cooperatives product shop. The cliff beach within the park is accessible during summer months from 08:00 to 20:00.
