Selinus, also known as Seleucia, was an ancient city located in the Pamphylia region of Antalya, Turkey. It was founded in the 2nd century BCE by King Seleucus I Nicator of the Seleucid Empire, and it served as an important port city and commercial center in the Mediterranean world.

The city was known for its strategic location on the trade routes between Greece, Egypt, and the eastern Mediterranean, and it played a significant role in the region's history. In the 1st century BCE, the city became part of the Roman Empire, and it continued to prosper under Roman rule.

Today, the ruins of Selinus can be visited in the town of Gazipaşa in Antalya province. The city's impressive archaeological remains include the remains of the ancient harbor, city walls, a theater, and a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena.
