A Capital of Flavor and Coolness at the Foot of Akdağ
Nestled at the foot of Akdağ, one of the most magnificent peaks of the Western Taurus between Kaş and Elmalı, Gömbe is Antalya's most famous plateau. Located at an altitude of 1200 meters, Gömbe is an attraction center not only for its cool air but also for its ice-cold waters, apple orchards, and culinary culture. It acts as a "liberated zone" for those escaping the scorching heat of the Mediterranean coast.
A Land of Legends and Glacial Lakes
Yeşil Göl (Green Lake) and Uçarsu Waterfall, located on Akdağ just above Gömbe, complete the mystical atmosphere of the region. The annual change in the direction of Uçarsu, considered sacred according to local legends, holds great spiritual value for the people of the region. Additionally, Gömbe is known as one of the places where Turkey's most delicious "Fırın Kebabı" (pit-roasted lamb) is prepared. Juicy apples grown in soil fed by meltwater and fragrant cedar trees define the characteristic identity of Gömbe.
